A small tribute to the daily work of Juliet, Cyril and Hugues ...

About the Reef, a diver can make a difference. First, ensuring perfect buoyancy and keeping his distance from the Acropora and other varieties of coral.
At  OCTOPUS, our staff has a very unique approach which we call "to do gardening"... After investigation, it appears that the patent for this method belongs to Cyril, followed closely by Juliette and Hughes. This is to replant coral debris freshly torn by the waves, large coral eating fish or divers with little concerns about the environment. The originality of the method is its simplicity of implementation - no glue "Epoxy," no "reef balls" or cement - the technique is to place the debris alive in natural crevices, thus immobilizing the coral which will not move anymore under the influence of  waves and currents.

We are honored to have in the team, young Seychellois who are concerned about their environment and who have developed a simple method of restoring reefs without cloning, collecting or transplants, just an intuition that by blocking these coral fragments, they could give them a second chance...
